Rick Traylor, Patient Liaison and Practice Chaplain, joined Surgical Dermatology Group in 2009. He holds a B.A. in psychology from Carson-Newman College, a M.Ed. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a D.Ed. from North Carolina State University.

 

Before joining SDG, he worked in college and youth ministry with the North Carolina Baptist Convention and at Samford University as the Associate Dean of Students. In his role at SDG, he offers prayer and comfort to our patients, prepares patients for surgery, and is the liaison between medical staff and patient families. 

 

Rick and his wife Eleanor have two children and four grandchildren. They are active in Baptist Church of the Covenant and with the Alys Stephens Center at UAB.
